The Vision of Jesus Shines
In the inspired Word of God the Bible, in books like 2nd Peter, 1st Timothy and 1 John, we find that many false teachers and prophets will arise during the end times as we wait for the return of our Savior Jesus Christ. We are made aware that these teachers will preach false doctrines and heresies that will lead many people away from the True Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ and the Apostles. During these times, people will become distraught, uneasy and even fearful as they see destruction and abomination unfold in the world.
So what are we to do during these perilous times? Why has Jesus not returned? According to 2nd Peter 3:9, the Lord says He is patient with us because it is His desire that "none should perish, but that all should come to repentance". Our Father in Heaven will slow the return of our Savior Jesus so that everyone has the chance to be saved and enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It is also our desire here at Jesus Shines Ministries that none should perish in their sins, but instead, be set free, Empowered by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and set up for a Victorious life through Christ. In order for Jesus Shines to be obedient to what our Father has called us to do, it is imperative that we "study to show ourselves approved before God and properly divide the word of truth" in order to bring sound doctrine and teachings. (2 Timothy 2:15)
As Ambassadors of Christ, Pastors and Shepherds of a flock have the responsibility for the care and feeding of their sheep. With sound doctrine and the gifting that God has given them, they impart revelation and the uncompromised word to their congregation. They also identify, train and develop leaders. It is written that God has given different gifts and callings to each of His Pastors and we take great joy in helping these future leaders to discover who they are in Christ.
The primary desire and purpose of Jesus Shines Ministries is to lead the lost to salvation through Jesus Christ. It is also our desire to assist individuals to recognize and move into their gifts and callings in God’s kingdom and to increase their awareness of where we are on God’s prophetic timetable. It is imperative that the body of Christ get active in the plan of God and the great end time harvest.
In order for a congregation to fulfill the great commission of Mark 16:15 – (“And he said unto them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”) that congregation must be trained, prepared and ready to operate outside the confines of its building(s) and property.
